Dx0Mark has chosen the best smartphones for photography of 2019
In 2019, the editors of the Dx0Mark portal tested 31 smartphones, not only from the top shelf. Because many models have gained a similar number of points, the portal decided to highlight the recommended devices in several specialized categories.
Photography smartphones have undergone a major transformation in the last 12 months. One of the hot trends is the large number of main lenses that allow the user to take a variety of shots. There are even models with five cameras on the market, e.g. Nokia 9 PureView or Xiaomi Mi CC Pro Premium Edition. Software is also developing along with the hardware. Thanks to SI and algorithms, the software can significantly increase the quality of photos, especially in difficult lighting conditions. To facilitate the selection of people who care about a particular camera feature, Dx0Mark has distinguished the following models.
The best all-round photography smartphones
Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Xiaomi CC9 Pro Premium Edition currently hold the highest place in the portal ranking (121 points). Both have a specific set of lenses. In Mate 30 Pro we find a 40-megapixel main matrix, three times the zoom and a wide-angle lens. Xiaomi, in turn, proposes as many as 5 lenses, including a 108-megapixel giant. The Huawei smartphone is slightly better at handling noise and artifacts, while Xiaomi has a larger zoom range and a wider angle.
The best smartphone for video
Apple's latest flagship as one of the few smartphones can record material in HDR. Thanks to this, the films have a better tonal range and more details in places full of contrasts. The iPhone was also appreciated for its nice colors, decently functioning object tracking function and numerous external accessories for fans of video filming.
The best zoom on your smartphone
If someone cares about the smartphone that makes the best approximations, then they should definitely be interested in the Xiaomi flagship. CC9 Pro Premium Edition has not one, but two telephoto lenses with different focal lengths and thus stands out from the competition. This model scored 109 points in the zoom category, where the second place (Huawei P30 Pro) received only 95 points.
The best smartphone for wide angle shots
The Samsung product impressed the Dx0Mark editors with a lens that provides one of the few focal length equivalents on the market with 12 mm. The colors, automatic white balance and tonal range were also praised. If you care about photographing landscapes and architecture, the Galaxy Note 10+ may be the best choice.
The best smartphone for night photography
For a very long time smartphones were not able to take a good photo at night. With larger matrices and software you can finally be satisfied with the results. DxOMark gave Mate 30 Pro the most points for night photographs. The editors praised the exposure, low noise, and flash mode. | allthingsblogging.com
