Hackers are unbeatable – security measures Metro: Exodus have been broken
New Denuvo broken after five days.
One of the most popular video game security systems is Denuvo. Quite recently, the premiere was in version 5.6 of this mechanism, which was characterized by, as always, more advanced algorithms and increased difficulty of fracture. Unfortunately, the anti-piracy software failed once again – Metro: Exodus, which was secured by the new Denuvo, gave up after only five days.
Interestingly, Ubisoft’s latest production, Far Cry: New Dawn, also uses Denuvo version 5.6, and six days after the release, it remains intact. Probably in a short time it will change, but this state of affairs allows you to notice which game is more in demand and interest among users.
The developers of the software are of the opinion that Denuvo’s safeguards are designed to protect a given production primarily in the first days since the debut, when its sales are the largest. In most cases, this goal can be achieved – there was still no case when this mechanism failed in the first twenty-four hours after the game was released.
Of course, Denuvo has its sides – software in many cases has a negative impact on the performance of security titles (of course, we are not talking about drastic declines here). Some developers even decide to remove security just after being broken by hackers.
