The best keyboard tricks for Windows 7

Everyone who spends a lot of time in front of a computer, usually hands on the keyboard. The mouse is finally for the lamers;). What keyboard tricks to use to make it easier to work with Windows 7?

  • Alt + Tab – scroll between open windows
  • Alt + Tab + Ctrl – stop scrolling
  • Alt + Tab + Arrows – select one of the open windows without using the mouse
  • Windows + T – navigation between programs on the taskbar. Pressing Enter allows you to open one of them
  • Windows + Shift + T – the same as the previous one, but allows movement in the opposite direction
  • Windows + B – check Show hidden icons on the taskbar
  • Windows + 1 to 9 – click the first – the ninth icon on the Taskbar (including icons pinned to the bar)
  • Windows + Shift + 1 to 9 – open the program in the new window located under the 1 to 9 icon on the Taskbar
  • Windows + Alt + 1 to 9 – open a pop-up window with a list of functions for the indicated icon on the Taskbar

Shortcuts to Aero

  • Windows + Space – hide all open windows so that you can see the gadgets of the Desktop
  • Windows + D – hide / show Desktop
  • Windows + Home – minimize everything except the selected window
  • Windows + Left or right arrow – set the window so that it occupies 50% of the screen on the left or right side (very useful function when working with text)
  • Windows + Ctrl + Arrows – maximize and restore the selected window
  • Windows + Tab – fire 3D perspective (it looks like it was taken out of a movie about hackers, but it’s rather uncomfortable: P)
