Tuesday’s Windows 10 update causes serious problems
Microsoft began the week by providing firmware for Surface laptops, which negatively affected their performance. This is not the end of trouble. The company also failed to perform a completely trouble-free Windows 10 update on all computers. A monthly cumulative patch issued every second Tuesday of the month causes inconvenience.
Software released as part of Patch Tuesday primarily causes automatic restart of some devices. The restart of the computer is not preceded by any message, and users do not have the opportunity to save their work. Injured people share their problems both on the pages of Reddit and the official Microsoft forum.
The behavior of Windows 10 is very strange, because after restart the system does not display the login screen. The screen turns unexpectedly black, and before the start-up, even a board does not appear informing about the possibility of logging into the BIOS or choosing the boot mode – for example, an emergency.
The scale of the phenomenon is unknown, and the Redmond giant has not yet referred to it in any way. If there are problems, then a correction will definitely be prepared. In an extreme case, the update will be withdrawn from distribution – something that has happened before.
We regularly inform you about Microsoft’s shortcomings related to the introduction of subsequent updates. However, we must all ask ourselves: is it possible at all that patches installed on millions of different hardware configurations were always perfect?
